There are Bear's Choice Beanie Babies. I just spotted them at Amazon in a sidebard--Amazon auctions, home of the strangest things outside ebay.

I'm sore, pleasantly sore. I haven't swum any distance since the pool closed last summer, and I rode in this morning for the first time in almost two weeks. That new bike saddle is so comfortable with its pubic-bone cutout that I think I could give birth through it. And I made good time, laughable by Scott Anderson's standards I'm sure but okay for me. I'm awake, not cursing my glasses (I finally ordered new contact lenses Saturday) and kit out in cool fresh linen, my obliques are tingling, and I'm proofreading some very dry material. A good day.

Something (that I can't remember) recently reminded me of my Grizzly Adams book. "Grizzly Adams" was my favorite tv show--and imdb says it lasted only a year? Two or three years later "The Dukes of Hazzard" started and if REB's liking it and the cool (if deceitful) name weren't enough of a draw, Denver Pyle as Uncle Jesse certainly was. I missed Mad Jack. I just looked at Advanced Book Exchange for the Grizzly Adams book and confirmed my suspicion that it was a "based on the show" book but real people have written about the real James Capen Adams. Anyway as I looked around for a photograph of Dan Haggerty (who played Grizzly), whose face I could not remember, I found a Dukes of Hazzard fan page with a jpeg of a box of a "Grizzly Adams" puzzle with Haggerty and Pyle. One hundred pieces: a real challenge. Nevertheless I wonder if any such puzzles still exist for me to acquire. That would be so cool.

More shit to acquire.

Two weeks between entries. I had a hard time with this. I wrote or typed for my own and to friends quite a bit since my trip home, but determining what to have here and how to hose or just tone it down was hard.
