Reading: Miss Wyoming

Moving: walked 2.7 miles

House: what's that? Actually RDC painted his study's trim today but--get this--it was too cold and humid for another coat.

16 June 2000: RAIN!

I sent PLT the link to the Janus cat. He said it was time for a new "Reanimator" sequel. RDC says he would name this cat Cerebrus because naming a cat with a dog's name obviously improves the cat. My name is, however, clearly the more appropriate.

---

I have just introduced RDC to Widespread Panic. I have seen their name associated with things Deadish but hadn't heard them until last week on the radio. KBCO had just said it was going to play one of their songs and I knew by how Deady it was that this must be it. I was talking to a fellow Deadhead at work today who hopes for tickets to two shows in Keystone in July and to whom a Furthur show in August was news, so I remembered to mention them to RDC. We are listening to them now--he upstairs to Grille's speakers and I downstairs through the heating vent.

We have shared a study for over a year and before that we shared the living space of a one-bedroom, so having our two studies on two floors is kind of an adjustment. But we can talk through the heating vent, which I like.

Widespread Panic redid "Let's Go to the Hop" as "Let's Go Smoke Some Pot." We were both giggling.

And speaking of concerts, the B-52s and the Go-gos are going to be at Redrocks in July sometime. The Deadhead--my age and thus a child of the '80s, however much, like RDC, he resists the decade--told me about this show, and I promptly called my sister. It's a possibility. She is the only person I would consider going to such a show with.

---

It's raining. Bless the rain. If it can be mutual, that is; because we do sorely need it. I hope it's falling in the foothills.

---

It has just occurred to me that once we get the study done, RDC will be in there, not in the dining room, and we won't be able to talk to each other through the heating vents. Sigh.
